The Eteläpää Tourist Centre offers a wonderful setting for tourism and restaurant activities in the heart of nature. The log-built main building exudes atmosphere and was built in 1996. In 2006, a restaurant section was added, which brings a lot of additional space to the operation. In addition, you have a separate storage building from 2011.
The main building has a floor area of 352 m², and the restaurant hall has space for 130 customers (105 m² + 25 m² of open customer space). The building has mechanical ventilation, which is maintained by the municipality – one less worry in the entrepreneur’s everyday life. The terrace at the front attracts customers to spend their free time by the magnificent landscape, and plans to expand the terrace towards the lake await spring.
The kitchen has all the basic equipment: dishwasher, stove, oven, refrigerator and freezer – and the municipality takes care of their repairs and replacements. You can bring your own tableware – so choose the style that makes your restaurant unforgettable!
The tourist center has 24 electrified caravan sites, and the municipal public beach opens up right in front of the restaurant. So there will be plenty of summer customers, as long as you attract them with delicious treats and a cozy environment.
The building is heated with pellets in the winter and oil in the summer, and the heating is provided by the municipality. You are responsible for the electricity, water and sewage charges, as well as the cleanliness of the yard and the area, including the beach. In the winter, plowing and sanding the yard's access roads and caravan area, and in the summer, mowing the lawn and general cleanliness. However, these are small things compared to what you can get out of Eteläpää!
There are 19 cottages in the tourist services area in Eteläpää, which were built between 1997 and 2000. The cottages are owned by private individuals on leased land, the municipality owns the land. There has been a mutual agreement between the entrepreneur in Eteläpää and the Tourist Association regarding the rental of the cottages, inspection after the rental and, if necessary, cleaning.
The tourist center's surroundings offer a variety of sports opportunities, suitable for both active enthusiasts and those looking for a relaxed outdoor experience. The area includes a 3,3-kilometer illuminated fitness track, which in winter is a cross-country ski trail. The track also has fitness stairs that offer a challenge and variety for your workout. In addition, the tourist center has frisbee golf and mini golf courses, a beach volleyball court and outdoor fitness equipment. The area also has a smokehouse, a hut and a lean-to with campfire sites.
The municipality of Siikainen is part of the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas UNESCO Global Geopark area and the new entrepreneur is expected to cooperate with the area's operators.
