Council for the Elderly and Disabled

There is a council for the elderly and disabled in Siikainen.

The task of the Council for the Elderly and Disabled is to:

monitor the quality and adequacy of services for the elderly and disabled, monitor the needs of the elderly and disabled population and the corresponding service activities,
make initiatives and proposals and provide statements to municipal authorities on matters concerning the elderly and disabled,
increase cooperation between the elderly and disabled and the authorities representing them, promote opportunities for the elderly and disabled to participate in and influence decision-making that concerns them,
influence the planning and implementation of the environment and transport from the perspective of the elderly and disabled,
provides information on matters concerning the elderly and the disabled,
promote interaction between different generations,
to prepare an annual action plan and activity report on its activities.
