History:
The exhibition Siikainen, leading the way in nature – for 150 years, which will be launched at the end of July in the exhibition space of the Pori City Library, will have literature as one of its themes. Because we Finns are always interested in what is written about us in other parts of the world, or people from Siikainen are interested in what is said about Siikainen in the news or in our country's media. This idea became the idea for the Siikainen Mentioned! exhibition. The exhibition brings together books that discuss Siikainen, its history and people.
This section obviously includes informational books, such as histories, memoirs and genealogies. But it also includes fiction books and authors who have some connection to Siikainen, the author was born in the town, lives here today or one of the book's settings is Siikainen.
