Siikainen – Forerunners by nature
In Siikainen you can live in the middle of nowhere, but close to everything. There are more than a hundred jobs within an hour's drive, and the municipality's fiber optic network also ensures good opportunities for remote work.
We are a small and agile municipality, our permit services run smoothly and early childhood education is completely free. The small class sizes of our comprehensive school are also among our strengths.
We value community and working together, and even those in office don't leave their work undone. As our slogan says, we have to put nature ahead of the game here, right from the decision-making stage.
Here we live in nine villages. The villages are Hirvijärvi, Kirkonkylä, Leppijärvi, Leväsjoki, Otamo, Pyntäinen, Sammi, Saarikoski-Petkele and Vuorijärvi. The landscapes vary from traditional rural landscapes to vast marshlands, from lake views to dry sand ridges. The diverse nature, numerous lakes and varied terrain offer good opportunities for outdoor activities.

Personal service at the service point on Mondays from 9.00 am to 15.00 pm. On other days, service is only available by phone from 9 am to 15 pm by phone 044 720 10 or by appointment.
