Accessibility statement

The Municipality of Siikainen strives to ensure the accessibility of website services in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019). The Act is based on the EU Accessibility Directive (redirects to a new site)The purpose of the law is to promote the availability of digital services and improve everyone's opportunities to use digital services equally.

Basis of the report
This statement was prepared on 4.2.2021 February 2020 and concerns the website www.siikainen.fi. This statement is based on an accessibility assessment carried out in September 2.1. The assessment was carried out by Aarnikukko Oy. The testing assessed the accessibility of the technical implementation, the structure of the pages, and the accessibility and understandability of the content. The testing was based on the WCAG XNUMX accessibility standard, which was supplemented by the testers' many years of extensive personal experience with the accessibility of online services and, in particular, with assistive technology software for the visually impaired.

Accessibility situation
Partially fulfills the accessibility requirements.

Inaccessible content
The deficiencies in the criteria listed below do not currently comply with the accessibility criteria, as the site is temporarily subject to a derogation under Article 5 of the EU Accessibility Directive due to disproportionate burden. The accessibility deficiencies on the site are being continuously addressed within the available resources.

• The site contains links that redirect to sites run by different administrators that do not meet accessibility requirements.
• Agendas and minutes are not fully accessible.
• The pages contain PDF documents and forms that are not accessible.
• The videos are not subtitled.
• Incorrect tab order in some parts – i.e. browsing order.

Accessibility was independently checked on June 20, 2024. The check did not detect any changes to the accessibility status of the service, and the accessibility deficiencies described in this report are still up-to-date.
